Prior responsibilities at United Technologies Corporation for substantial Pension and Savings Plan assets developed asset allocation, fund manager selection, performance assessment and style analysis skills. His fluency with capital market models, optimization software, and consulting methods adds to the resources devoted to higher net worth client portfolios. Fixed income portfolio management at a major insurance company and project/customer financing at an aerospace company and a government agency further expand Jim's resource base for client investing and project consulting.

Educational qualifications are the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, an MBA from Columbia University and a BA from Trinity College. He is married with three children. Community activities included deacon of the Asylum Hill Congregational Church, Vice President/ Program Director of the Hartford Society of Financial Analysts and President of the Trinity Club of Hartford. He is now a director of The Piseco Company and the Hartford Tennis Club.
